About me
Mirna is an artist and glassblower whose work combines glass with stone. She lives and works in Copenhagen, Denmark, and grew up in the Netherlands.
Her work emerges from an intuitive process in which craftsmanship and experimentation go hand in hand. For Mirna, glass and stone are both materials and carriers of emotion: transparent, fragile, powerful, and raw. These combinations form an ongoing source of inspiration for her work. Her most recent series explores themes of polarisation and connection.
Recent projects

I created a special artwork for CafeKirken where my faith and my love for glass come together. At the heart of the piece is an anointing flask, surrounded by colorful glass shards that symbolize us as a church.

A series of works inspired by my time in Ebeltoft (Denmark).

Come on April 12 & 13 to Loods M in Maassluis and discover my newest works in glass and stone!

In recent months I’ve been working on new glass projects, attended an inspiring course in Germany, and prepared for my upcoming residency in Denmark. I look forward to continuing to share my glass adventures with you.

Happy New Year! Back in the Netherlands, but the glass adventures continue! From working with recycled glass to a new market in February... Curious about what I've been up to? Read on! 😉
